Miitomo Tips To Keep It Fresh

Miitomo Tips To Keep It Fresh

I’ve read about lots of people on several different forums discussing how they’ve quit using Miitomo or got bored of it quickly. While I don’t hold the same exact viewpoint I can see why. Miitomo doesn’t have a huge amount of content and in actuality, it can differ on a user to user basis. Why? Simple. It all depends on how YOU use the app. Miitomo isn’t a game, it’s more of a social sim in the same vein of Tomodachi Life. Below are just a handful of tips to make your enjoyment of Miitomo better and to reap the benefits of using it regularly. 1. Daily Bonuses (load up Miitomo at least once daily to get the daily bonus gifts) 2. Change your Outfit at least ... »

Mario Tennis Ultra Smash – A few thoughts…

Mario Tennis Ultra Smash – A few thoughts…

I don’t even have the game yet, at this time I do not get review copies and I am contemplating whether or not I will make the purchase. I am a fan of Nintendo (Mario) sports titles from the Mario Golf Series, previous Mario Tennis entries, Mario Strikers, Sports Mix and more. I also enjoy Wii Sports & Club, Resort etc. Most of those games, while maybe not perfect or lacking some features still seem to be a much better attempt then what has become of Mario Tennis Ultra Smash. Based on all of the reviews, the game seems rushed and an empty shell. It lacks content and basic features from previous entries in the series. An easy example to notice is that the game only includes 1 stadium... »

Amiibo – Good, Bad, and The Ugly

Amiibo – Good, Bad, and The Ugly

I thought I would write some current thoughts down in a blog post rather than repeat myself in the chat room over and over today. The amiibo situation is much better NOW then it was a few months ago and of course back during the holiday season of 2014. While many amiibo don’t last long on store shelves, you can still find just about every single one for sale online. Prices for some of the “rare” amiibos have dropped mostly because of the increased stock from reprints. Some amiibo were pushing $40 – $60 easily and now many of them are $30 or below. We are also seeing greater stock for each wave as noted by the RETRO 3 pack which is a gamestop exclusive. Many stores are... »

Working Out The Kinks Slowly But Surely

Working Out The Kinks Slowly But Surely

We are working out the kinks slowly but surely. Thanks for everyone sending in suggestions, issues, bugs etc. Special thanks to J. Mo, Jen, Tom, Sage, R00bot and all the others for helping, testing and signing up. We are aware of the following: Quote function does not work at all when in a group forum. It works elsewhere. A line break between a post and users signature seems buggy at times. In the main forums it seems fine, in group forums it disappears (most of the time) We have fixed the activity feed “spam” that would happen when a user would edit a topic or reply. Before the fix, any edits would show as a new entry in the activity feed stream . Thus, if a user needed to make ... »

Promotion – Ads, Social, SEO

Promotion – Ads, Social, SEO

I’ve begun with some baby steps to start getting this site out to more users by posting some links on my social profiles such as Facebook, Twitter and Google +. I’ve also setup a twitter account and facebook page for this site in particular. On facebook I am running a 7 day campaign with a limited budget but targeted to users I think would be interested. Aside from that advertising I also have a couple of freelancers working on jobs to submit this site across the internet to help it gain traction. We are almost ready! »

Experimenting with Google Adsense

Experimenting with Google Adsense

As you know, running a website and community forum like this comes at a cost. Not only for the domain and hosting, but the time for development and to maintain it. Since the site is free (no membership fees) I am testing integration of Ads. In the forums you will notice link ads above a topic as well as text/picture ads below each reply. This may stay, or it may change. We are testing things to see how they look and not take away from your experience.   Update. The ads became obtrusive appearing after each reply. They will remain for now only appearing under each forum / sub forum and under each topic. »

Groups! Mario Fans, The Legend of Zelda, The Lounge and more!

On this site we have groups which currently can be created by Admin and Mods. Soon (we hope), regular members will have the chance to create their own specific/niche groups. Groups can be made public in which anyone can join, private in which members have to be approved to join, and hidden. We are going to have several groups created over the next bit of time and will add more as we see fit. If you got an idea for a group stay tuned on when user creation opens up! I also wanted to add that groups will also have their own specific forum section to organize discussion and communication. Thanks! Current Groups: Mario Fans, Admin/Mods, TheWiiU.com . To visit these groups visit the site and look ... »
