October 28 – November 3: Nintendo News Bytes

It’s the week of Halloween, and we still have plenty of news to discuss as we go into November. Tune in to the Nintendo Chit Chat podcast to learn more about the latest news.

Nintendo Direct News

There was a 40-minute Super Smash Bros. Ultimate Direct on November 1 at 7 AM PT / 10 AM ET, revealing new fighters, modes, and more.

Nintendo Switch News

New Games, Ports, & Localizations

Survival horror game Maid of Sker was announced for all major platforms for Q3 2019.

Puzzle-platformer Elli was announced for December.

Cooperative action game Demolition Robots K. K. was announced.

Localization of Dragon Quest Builders 2 was confirmed for 2019, along with details about the online and offline local multiplayer modes.

Bubsy: Paws on Fire! was announced for the Switch, PS4, and PC.

Localization was confirmed for Fate/Extella Link for Q1 2019 alongside the other versions, as well as the $79.99 Fleeting Glory edition.

Side-scrolling action RPG The Demon Crystal is coming to the Switch in Japan this winter.

The Nameko no Puzzle: Nameko Dai Hanshoku will be localized under the title Funghi Puzzles: Funghi Explosion on December 20 for $19.99.

Visual novel Soi Kano: Gyutto Dakishimete will be ported to the Switch, PS4, and Vita in Japan.

Shoot ’em up Blacksea Odyssey will be ported to the Switch on December 20.

The OPUS Collection will launch physically in early 2019 with both OPUS games included.

In Japan, the two Robotics;Notes games will be released together for the Switch and PS4 on January 31 as the Robotics;Notes Otaku Set (Value Set).

Agartha is coming to the Switch in Japan as Agartha-S this winter.

Tavern management RPG Marenian Tavern Story: Patty and the Hungry God is coming to the Switch in Japan, with localization confirmed.

Adventure RPG Achemic Cutie will be coming to the Switch and other consoles in addition to the PC in Q4 2019.

Limited Run Games announced a physical edition of Battle Chef Brigade Deluxe, to go on sale starting on November 9.

The first teaser trailer is out for Super Dragon Ball Heroes: World Mission.

50 seconds of Dusk Diver gameplay is available in a new video.

Square Enix revealed two new Mirages, two summons Mirages, and a new bonus boss battle for World of Final Fantasy Maxima.

A gameplay video is available for Fitness Boxing.

The story trailer is available for Root Letter: Last Answer.

The first teaser trailer is out for Wizard’s Symphony.

A Lavender Town trailer for Pokémon Let’s Go, Pikachu! and Let’s Go, Eevee! was released for Halloween. New gameplay footage is also available from Nintendo Treehouse.

Nintendo Treehouse also released gameplay footage from Yoshi’s Crafted World.

Updates & DLC

The second set of DLC games for SNK 40th Anniversary Collection has been revealed: Beast Busters, Bermuda Triangle, Paddle Mania, Search and Rescue, World Wars, and ZMA Wars.

Inasa Yoarashi will be a DLC character for My Hero One’s Justice.

Nintendo 3DS News

Cube Creator DX will be released in the west on November 8.

Release Dates

December 7 – European release of Yo-Kai Watch 3 (two months ahead of NA launch)
