July is here, and with the new month comes a new set of announcements and updates (and quite a lot of them, in fact). Tune in to the Nintendo Chit Chat podcast to learn more about the latest news.

Nintendo Switch News

New Games, Ports, & Localizations

We missed it in the rush of E3 news, but in addition to Grim Fandango Remastered, Broken Age is coming to the Switch.

Mercenaries Wings: The False Phoenix has been announced for the Switch and PS4, telling a separate story in the Mercenaries Saga series.

A job listing has revealed that Square Enix’s Business Division 8 is working on an action RPG for the Switch and PS4.

The Darius Cozmic Collection has been announced for Japan, bringing classic Darius games to the Switch on February 28.

Ninja Warriors Again has also been revealed for Japan.

Namco Museum and Pac-Man Championship Edition 2 Plus are being bundled as the Namco Museum Arcade Pac on September 28, with a new trailer available.

Puzzle platformer Semblance has been announced for July 24, with a trailer available.

Frost is coming to consoles in July, with the Switch release set for July 19, and a new trailer is out.

Curve Digital announced that Velocity 2X is coming to the Switch in August, as well as Manual Samuel.

The visual novel Nora to Oujo to Noraneko Heart HD Version has been announced for the Switch and PS4 in Japan.

Sumikko Gurashi: Atsumare! Sumikko Town has also been announced for Japan, to be released on October 4.

The Mooseman is coming to consoles on July 18 for $6.99, with a trailer available.

Super Destronaut DX has been announced, with the Switch version set for July 13 for $4.99.

Valthirian Arc: Hero School Story has been announced for the Switch, PS4, and PC, with an announcement trailer out now.

Ganbare! Super Strikers was announced for all major platforms, with the console release to come later this year.

Localization of The Caligula Effect: Overdose has been announced for the Switch, PS4, and PC in early 2019, with a limited edition also available.

Your Four Knight Princesses Training Story is also coming west as The Princess Guide, with a limited edition available, and a nwe trailer out now.

In addition to those two, NIS America also revealed RPG Maker MV for consoles in 2019, with a limited edition available.

Skullgirls 2nd Encore is coming to the Switch, and they released a new trailer.

The Zero Escape director has announced AI: The Somnium Files for the Switch, PS4, and PC.

Asterix & Obelix XXL 2 is being remastered for all major platforms on November 29, with limited and collector’s editions available, and Asterix and Obelix XXL 3 is planned for late 2019.

Stardust Galaxy Warriors: Stellar Climax will be ported to the Switch.

A 2D side-scrolling adventure game called Ghost Parade will come out for the Switch, PS4, and PC in 2019.

Death Mark will be localized, although no release window was given yet.

Panic Button is bringing a port of Warframe to the Switch, with an announcement trailer out now.

Trailers & Details

The World Ends With You: Final Remix will feature touchscreen controls in handheld mode, use the Joy-Con as a pointer in table & docked mode, and also allow two-player co-op battles. New songs and music arrangements have been added, and players can switch between the original and new arrangements.

Capcom has introduced Blast Man, Time Attack and Balloon Attack in Mega Man 11.

GRIP will include 19 “Carkour” stunt challenge maps, demonstrated in a new trailer.

Mui Mui from Dragon Gal and The King of Fighters XIV has been official revealed for SNK Heroines: Tag Team Frenzy.

A new trailer is out for Disgaea 1 Complete.

Labyrinth of Refrain: Coven of Dusk also received a new character trailer.

An overview trailer is available for Go Vacation.

Nelke and the Legendary Alchemists will include shop management and side-scrolling exploration.

Updates & DLC

The summer updated for Kirby: Star Allies will come on July 27 and also add Adeleine & Ribbon as a Dream Friend.

Nintendo 3DS News

Three new models of the New 2DS XL have been announced for Japan:

  • Animal Crossing: New Leaf Amiibo + Pack
  • Mario Kart 7 Pack
  • Creeper Edition

Another set of classes is introduced in the latest Etrian Odyssey X trailer.
