Psychic Specters is the Definitive Version of Yo-Kai Watch 2
Yo-Kai Watch 2: Psychic Specters will be out on September 29 for the 3DS. This is the third version of Yo-Kai Watch 2, the localization of Yo-Kai Watch 2: Shinuchi. The first two versions, Bony Spirits and Fleshy Souls, were localized last year.
For its second entry, the Yo-Kai Watch franchise followed a similar model to that used by Pokémon. It released two versions simultaneously that were largely the same but had some differences (particularly in terms of certain yo-kai being exclusive to one version or the other), and then followed with a third, upgraded version.
The main story of Psychic Specters is the same as that found in Bony Spirits and Fleshy Souls, although the ending is different. It contains all of the Bony Spirits and Fleshy Souls content, as well as:
- 12 new quests
- new yo-kai
- befriend 15 Wicked Yo-Kai
- new locations
- expanded version of Yo-Kai Watch Blasters
- exclusive bonus dungeons if you have save data from Bony Spirits or Fleshy Souls
Most of the changes in Psychic Specters concern the post-game content, so if you’ve never played a previous version of Yo-Kai Watch 2, you won’t miss too much by starting with Psychic Specters. If you have played Bony Spirits or Fleshy Souls and want to play this as well, you’ll be able to transfer your save data to Psychic Specters.
Yo-Kai Watch 2: Psychic Specters is the definitive version of Yo-Kai Watch 2, with everything from the previous versions as well as new content. Whether you’ve played Bony Spirits/Fleshy Souls or are going in fresh, Psychic Specters is the game to get.
