Chrono Trigger Director Takashi Tokita Teases a Switch Project

Square Enix has shown interest in the Nintendo Switch, with games in the Dragon Quest series planned for the console, as well as Project Octopath Traveler. Recently, Square Enix’s Takashi Tokita tweeted an image of the Switch along with the message “Top-secret mission starts!”

This seems like a clear hint that he is working a game for the Nintendo Switch, whether it’s a port or a new title.

Takashi Tokita has a solid history with Square Enix. He was the director of Chrono Trigger and the original Parasite Eve, and he worked on several Final Fantasy games, including Final Fantasy IV, Final Fantasy VII, and Final Fantasy: The 4 Heroes of Light. We don’t know what he’s working on for the Nintendo Switch, but given his track record, we can’t wait to learn more about it.

What do you think Tokita’s mystery project could be?
