Atlus Shows Upcoming Nintendo 3DS and Switch Games
On the weekend, Atlus held a special live stream to discuss upcoming game, including several Nintendo games. First, the recently-announced Radiant Historia; Perfect Chronology received its first trailer.
This Radiant Historia remake not only improves the graphics and adds voice acting, it also adds a third history that can be played either alongside the original game’s histories or after clearing them.
Next Atlus also had two new 3DS games to announce. Following the success of Etrian Mystery Dungeon, which came out in 2015, Etrian Mystery Dungeon 2 will be released for the 3DS in Japan on August 31. Like its predecessor, it will combine the gameplay of the Etrian Odyssey and Mystery Dungeon series.
Meanwhile, we knew an unannounced Shin Megami Tensei game was in development for the 3DS, and it has been officially unveiled as Shin Megami Tensei: Deep Strange Journey, a refined version of 2009’s Shin Megami Tensei: Strange Journey for the DS.
And finally, Atlus teased Shin Megami Tensei fans further by showing an updated version of the Shin Megami Tensei HD trailer. While the majority of this trailer is identical to what we saw when the game was announced for the Nintendo Switch, they added the image of a destroyed city.
In short, it was a good weekend for fans of Atlus RPGs, although no there has been no localization news for any of these titles yet. Which of these games are you looking forward to the most?
