Top 3 Things to Be Excited for in Mario Kart 8 Deluxe
The announcement of Mario Kart 8 Deluxe for the Nintendo Switch might have disgruntled fans hoping for an entirely new Mario Kart game, especially since there aren’t any new tracks for the main mode. However, that doesn’t mean there’s nothing to look forward to for fans who already played Mario Kart 8.
Here are the top three things to be excited for in Mario Kart 8 Deluxe.
3. New Battle Courses
Mario Kart 8 Deluxe might have the same 48 racetracks from the original, but you still have two new courses to look forward to if you play Battle Mode: Urchin Underpass, which is based on Splatoon, and Battle Stadium. The Battle Mode rules have also been tweaked.
2. Double Item Boxes
The Double Item Box from Mario Kart: Double Dash will make a reappearance, because Mario Kart 8 Deluxe now allows you to carry two items at a time. While it’s a small change, it’s an appreciated one–especially if you like to have a second item lined up whenever possible.
Two previous Mario Kart items, the Feather (Battle Mode only) and Boo will also return.
1. New Characters
Finally, the Mario Kart character roster is important to many fans, and you’ll now have five more characters to choose from:
- Inkling Boy (from Splatoon)
- Inkling Girl (from Splatoon)
- King Boo
- Dry Bones
- Bowser Jr.
What things are you most excited for in Mario Kart 8 Deluxe? Are you planning to buy it, or will you pass on this one to wait for the next Mario Kart game?
