Culdcept Revolt and RPG Maker Fes to be Localized This Summer
NIS America held a press event in which they made several localization announcements, including two games due to be localized for the Nintendo 3DS this summer.
Culdcept Revolt came out in Japan on July 6, 2016. It is a strategy card-based board game that follows a rebel named Allen as he fights against the evil Count Kraniss. It features a Story Mode, a Free Play mode, and both local and online multiplayer modes. Fans of the series have described it as a cross between Magic: The Gathering and Monopoly, which sounds interesting.
Meanwhile, if you’d like to try your hand at creating your own RPG on the 3DS, you’re in luck. RPG Maker Fes, which came out in Japan on November 24, 2016, is being localized as well. It allows you to make and share your own games with pre-made assets. A free application available from the Nintendo eShop will allow other players to browse, download, and play games made in RPG Maker Fes.
Both Culdcept Revolt and RPG Maker Fes will be available both physically and digitally in Summer 2017. A limited edition of RPG Maker Fes has also been announced and can be pre-ordered from NIS America. Culdcept Revolt pre-orders are not yet available.
