Three Nintendo Switch Multiplayer Titles Announced
For those of you who love playing games with your friends and rivals, three multiplayer games have already been announced for the Nintendo Switch. Two are brand-new IPs, while the third is one you should already be familiar with.
The first game is designed to make use of the Joy-Con controllers and challenges players to watch each other’s eyes and body movements instead of the screen. Examples include Wild West style shootouts and dancing games. 1-2-Switch will be a Nintendo Switch launch title, available on March 3.
The second multiplayer game also makes strong use of the Joy-Con controllers. It’s called ARMS, and it combines boxing with extendable arms for a unique style of fighting. Dashes and jumps allow you to vary your fighting style for deeper tactics and strategies. ARMS will be available this spring.
Finally, a game everyone anticipated after the reveal trailer–although at the time, we didn’t know if it was a port or a sequel–Splatoon 2 is coming to the Nintendo Switch. Splatoon 2 features 4-on-4 turf battles, new weapons (including the dual-wielded Splat Dualies), both local and online multiplayer, new stages, new customization options, voice chat, and additional content to be added after its launch. Splatoon 2 will be available this summer.
There you have it: 1-2-Switch, ARMS, and Splatoon 2. Which of these three multiplayer Nintendo Switch titles are you most interested in?
