Xenoblade 2 Announced for the Nintendo Switch

Leading up to the Nintendo Switch event, we heard plenty of rumors that Monolith Soft was working on a new JRPG for the Nintendo Switch, and those rumors proved to be true.

Xenoblade Chronicles 2 is coming to the Nintendo Switch at an unspecified date.

Although many players (including me) anticipated an announcement of Xenoblade Chronicles X 2, a sequel to the science fiction open-world game released for the Wii U, this appears instead to be a sequel to the original Xenoblade Chronicles for the Wii and the New Nintendo 3DS.

A sequel to the original Xenoblade Chronicles? This could be quite interesting. What do you expect to see from Monolith Soft’s newest title?

Yes (although personally, I would have preferred XCX 2, and I hope this doesn’t rule that out as an eventual possibility).

yea i agree, it is a bit of an interesting choice… many thought we’d get an XCX 2. Seems this is fairly well along, so hoping it comes out 2017.. although I wouldn’t be suprised 2018.

Yeah. I’m curious to see how they’ll follow up the original Xenoblade, assuming this is a direct sequel.
