Dragon Quest VIII Preloads Now Available
The 3DS remake of Dragon Quest VIII: Journey of the Cursed King is almost here! It will be available both physically and from the Nintendo eShop on January 20 in North America and Europe, and January 21 in Australia.
Dragon Quest VIII is a turn-based JRPG and one of the most popular games in the Dragon Quest series. It follows a party of heroes on a quest to stop the evil jester Dhoulmagus and break the curse he placed on the king and princess of Trodain. The 3DS version includes many enhancements and new features, including two new playable characters, an alternate ending, and visible encounters (that is, enemies appear on the field instead of in random encounters).
If you’re planning to buy a digital copy of the game and you want to be able to play it the minute it becomes available, you can now preload it by buying it from the Nintendo eShop. Preloading allows you to download the game in advance, so you don’t have to wait for it to download on it release day.
Dragon Quest VIII requires 24,413 blocks, which is about 3 GB. Make sure you have enough space on your SD card, or you’ll need to upgrade your 3DS storage before you preload this game.
