Most Effective Ways At Finding Pokemon in Pokemon GO
Here are the most effective and simple ways at finding Pokemon in Pokemon GO.
Whether you are addicted to the game or you have a child who is pestering you to help them play, you’ll need to know where to find the sneaky Pokemon in order to ‘catch them all.’ Here’s what you need to know about where to find the Pokemon in Pokemon Go.
Start looking for Pokemon by walking around your neighborhood or building. Part of the appeal of this game is the fact that it encourages you to get out and explore your surroundings, so it’s perfect for families who want to be more active.
Know your Pokemon types
There are 18 different types of Pokemon available in the game and many of these can be found based on their type. For example, water type Pokemon are often found near rivers, streams, oceans, or lakes. Grass type Pokemons may be hiding at your local park or even in your backyard. Here’s a list of Pokemon types to look out for:
Bug, Dark, Dragon, Electric, Fairy, Fighting, Fire, Flying, Ghost, Grass, Ground, Ice, Normal, Poison, Psychic, Rock, Steel, and Water
Look for rustling grass
The little floating leaves that appear on your screen are sometimes an indicator that a Pokemon is hiding in that area. Head in that direction and hope for the best!
Watch for eggs at PokeStops
An egg is as good as a Pokemon because once it hatches, it could give you a rare Pokemon. To hatch an egg, just keep walking. It should automatically hatch in the incubator after a certain number of steps have been taken.
Lure them in
If you don’t mind spending a little money, you can attract Pokemon to where you are. Buy incense, which attracts Pokemon to your area and lures them out of hiding. Each incense lasts for 30 minutes, so use them wisely.
Lure Modules are similar to incense in that they attract Pokemon, but these are used to lure Pokemon to a particular PokeStop. The beauty of these is twofold; everyone in the area can also take advantage of the Module’s effect, so you can interact and trade with other players. Plus, if you happen to be the owner of a business or location that is a PokeStop, you can use the Lure Module to attract traffic!
Drive, ride, or walk (but be careful!)
Your avatar will run to keep up, but it will still find Pokemon even if you’re not on foot. Just make sure you’re safe while doing so (no driving and catching Pokemon, please!)
Have fun, play safely, and enjoy the game!
